Yellow Line Photos – Patel Chowk to HUDA City Center

I had long ago wanted to “complete” my photographing of Delhi Metro’s Phase II lines, and have finally been able to do that! Here are photos of the Yellow Line south of Rajiv Chowk (Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat stations were completed in Phase I).

Qutb Minar station

Qutb Minar station is positioned just after the Yellow Line emerges from underground, and the viaduct of the elevated line in fact begins at the station itself, as can be seen in the photo below

Chhatarpur and Sultanpur

Chhatarpur station

The construction technology (as seen in the steel columns etc in the pic below) of this station is different to other elevated stations because, due to land acquisition issues, construction of this station was delayed, which led to a quicker construction method being employed. This station still opened after the rest of this elevated section though
